What is Picktup?

Picktup is an application which facilitates reaching products from other countries in a cheaper and much more fun way than logistic providers, because people can create and share their own experiences.

Why should I use Picktup? What are the benefits?

You will have much more possibilities to get the product that you want, you can send a request to one of the travellers on the network and if they accept your request they will get the product you want and deliver it to you. You will pay less and create new experiences with travellers.

Why should I trust Picktup? Is the system safe?

We are working to create a friendly social platform to reach the products from all over the world. As a buyer you are accepting to make the payment when the traveller delivers your request. We believe people can create their own experiences based on mutual honesty.

Who can use Picktup?

Anyone who wants to order a product from anywhere in the world. And any travellers, who would like to meet new people, make them happy by delivering wishes and earn money.

How can I sign up to Picktup?

It is very easy. You just need to write your email address and create a password or you can sign up with facebook log in.

Do I need to have two accounts as a traveller and as a buyer?

No, with your one account you can be a buyer and a traveller when it is needed.

Why do I need to verify my e-mail?

Because if you verify your email we will be sure that it is you, so you are helping us to create a safer community that benefits all of us.

I have not received any activation mail?

If you do not receive any mail from us in 10 minutes, you may need to check your spam, if you do not have any confirmation mail please wait for 15 minutes, it may take some time. If you still do not have any activation mail after 15 minutes please try to log in and we will send you the activation mail once again.

Do I need to verify my phone number?

Not for now.

I don’t remember my password. What should I do?

You should click the “Forgot Password?” link in our log in page. And follow the instructions.

How do I change my profile information?

Whenever you want you can log in and click to the edit profile link on your navigation bar on the top of our website (the one with your picture and name).

Can I close my account?

You can send us a message for closing your account. In 5 days we will clear all the information about your profile.

Where do the buyer and the traveller meet?

As a buyer you send a request to traveller, you and traveller can decide the meeting point before the transaction. Please honor your words and respect other user.

How do I create a product request?

After logging in you can click to your top navigation bar to send requests page. In “My Requests” page you will see “create new request” button.

Can I edit or delete my product request?

Of course, you can make changes to your request or delete your request if you do not want that request anymore. After the traveller accepts to buy your request you cannot delete or make changes.

How can I find travellers?

You can use our search bar in homepage, to write the product that you want, the origin of the product and the destination point. You will find travellers according to your choose.

How should I choose the traveller?

You can read review that has been written to travellers and also you will have the trust bar to choose your traveller.

When do I have to make the payment?

You need to make the payment when the traveller delivers your request.

How much do I have to pay?

You need to pay the price of the product and you will decide the money that you would like to give to traveller for delivering your request. For example your product costs 30 Euros and you are willing to pay 5 Euros for the traveller who will deliver your product.

How should I make the payment?

You can pay cash or with a bank transfer when you meet the traveller.

Is there any return policy for my purchased product requests?

We suggest you not to change your mind after traveller has accepted your request, we do not want anybody to lose money or buy products for nothing. Sorry, we do not have any return policy.

How do I connect with a traveller?

When you sign in to Picktup you can search for travellers and in order to send request you just need to log in.

How do you make sure that I will get my product?

We are working to create an honest platform with honest users. We believe that like minded people will like to help one and other.

What happens if the traveller can’t make the delivery?

Because you will make the payment when you receive the product, you will not lose your money. To get the product please contact another traveller.

What happens if my product is broken?

You can let us know and we will lower travellers trust bar or you can write a review to the traveller about that situation. In the future you can make insurance for your products so even your product is damaged, your money will be covered by insurance.

Can I ask for a pack to carry from a traveller?

We do not suggest or give the service for shipping, we encourage our users to be sure and secure about this service, we prefer our travellers to buy personally the product that has been requested. But of course you can add to your request page and wait for a traveller to accept. We are not responsible if the pack that has been requested from travellers is harmed, damaged, lost or any problem has been occured. Buyers accept that they are taking the risk for asking a pack from a traveller. Please do not ask for any illegal products or packs that can be problem for travellers to carry by international laws, we want to build a honest community. And our goal is to help people.

What happens if the traveller is not the same as I saw in the platform?

Please let us know so that you can help us create a better and trustworthy platform. We do not want anybody to use our service for any unlawful purpose.

Is there any limitation for product requests?

Your requests will be deleted if they are illegal products and traveller has the right to accept or reject your request in order to his/her will.

Why should I create a trip?

If you want to help people and earn money while travelling, Picktup is for you.

How do I create a trip?

After logging in you can click to your top navigation bar to trip page. In “My Trips” page you will see “create new trip” button.

Can I edit or delete my trip?

Of course, you can make changes to your trip or delete your trip if your plans have been changed.

When should I create a trip?

When your trip plan is settled you can create your trip and if there will be any changes you can edit your trip details accordingly.

How should I find requests?

You can use our search bar in homepage, to write your departure and arrival points. You will find requests according to your destination. Also buyers can send requests to your trip.

If I accept a request, what will happen next?

When you accept a request you can buy the product that has been requested. After that you can contact the other user to decide for the meeting point.

How much do I earn?

In each request the delivery fee that you are going to earn may change because the buyer will write the amount that traveller will earn. So as a traveller you can check delivery fees and decide if you want to accept the request.

How can I contact buyer if I have a question or complain?

You can send message from our platform after accepting or sending a request to ask questions. If you have any complain you can write a review about the user and rate his/her actions.

Can I accept or reject requests?

Of course as a traveller you can accept or reject requests, but if you are rejecting please let us know your reason.

I don’t want to carry a pack that I do not know what is in it?

That’s good we do not want you to carry a pack that you do not know what is in it. We would like you to buy personally the product that has been requested and deliver to the user who requested it from you. We are not responsible if as a traveller you accept to carry a pack for a requester, we suggest travellers to be sure and safe about what are they carrying. We are not responsible if the pack that has been requested from travellers is harmed, damaged, lost or any problem has been occured. Buyers accept that they are taking the risk for asking a pack from a traveller.

My trip is cancelled, what should I do?

You can edit or delete your trip. And if you had accepted any request it would be really nice of you if you send a message to the user who is waiting a product from you.

When will I get the payment? And how?

When you deliver the product, you can be paid cash or with a bank transfer. Please decide it with the requester.

Where am I going to deliver the product?

You are going to be able to send messages to requester, you can decide together where the delivery will be.

If the buyer is not there what should I do?

You can send messages and try to contact him/her. If not please contact us so that we can help you to reach the user faster.

What happens if I miss my flight or bus?

As long as you let the requester know about the changes, there will be no negative consequence and you will not lose your rating star. Just update your trip.

Which items are prohibited?

There are some products that are prohibited according to international laws. Please do not ask or buy a product that is prohibited by international laws.
